Hi, I’m Shiri. Welcome to my happy place.
I’m excited to invite you into my process and share the fuel behind my work. My happiest moments are when I am in my creative zone, doing what I absolutely love.
Every person is unique and has a different way of seeing the world and expressing themselves. I work to develop a vision that resonates on a wider scale - appealing to everyone no matter their taste and preferences.
My aim for every job is to elevate the client’s vision beyond all expectations.
The Process
A combination of listening, intuition, and experience creates clarity for myself and my client based on the project’s objectives.
It all begins with imagination. I ask myself - What meaningful feelings can I elicit? How can I align the visual direction with my clients needs in the deepest and most powerful way?
Once the vision is clear, it flows into the practical. In an iterative process, ideas are explored, adapted, scrapped, and finely selected.
Then it happens. It all comes together. Everything has a place and a plan and it comes to life in all its visual and practical glory.
It’s exhilarating.
My Inspiration
My grandmother was a renowned artist. She survived the Holocaust when she was only a young child, hiding with her mother. For her, art was much more than just a career and a passion. It was the way she coped and healed from her immense trauma. It helped strengthen her throughout the various difficult challenges she faced.
Her artistic focus was on scenes of her former shtetl life, painted predominately from memory. In her art, she captured the joys and struggles along with the beauty of everyday life. My grandmother highlighted the Jewish experience for others to connect with and gain inspiration and solace from it.
She would paint all the time, often painting from day to night. Every paper, every grocery list, had her sketches on it. Her art was an ever-present force in who she was.
Joyful, hilarious, and fiercely independent, she was always ready to have a meaningful chat over coffee (and of course sugar cubes). Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her loved to be around her. Her love for life was infectious.
She is my inspiration for everything and I strive to be like her.
Design Beliefs
~Anyone can make their spaces pretty. It's often as simple as moving a few items around.
~Full client trust is essential and enables the magic to unfold.
~Successful projects take time, but should not require any stress.
~More important than the aesthetics is the flow and cohesiveness within the overall look.
Project Approach
I bring myself fully into any project I accept, creating results that I am immensely proud of.
Maximizing a budget is a core focus of mine, and often high quality and stylish items don’t have to be too costly. Sometimes, there are beneficial reasons to invest in higher end quality purchases, yet knowing the what and why is a challenge I enjoy.
I get a great sense of satisfaction on seeing projects delivered in a timely fashion and on budget.
Once you are my client, I make sure it's the way I would want it for myself. I am efficient and pragmatic. (5 kids, need I say more :) )
I'm very direct, I like to make things happen seamlessly and quickly.
